Good News

Who doesn't like good news? I know I missed last week, and I am sorry about that. I have been very busy and there are weeks that I am going to miss. This isn't one of them.

Here is my good news along with things I am thankful for.

First: I found a side option to make more money for publishing. I am making greeting cards. Thanks to my newfound addiction to Canva. I have created a variety of Valentine's cards. My largest one is a folded card with some dark humor. I am very excited about this one since the zombies are adorable. Yep, you read that right, a zombie Valentine's card. It turned out adorable and I have received some great reviews from people about it. My concern is that I haven't ordered enough. I have others that are more traditional and a few designed my children.

Second: My second book is coming along and I am happy with the direction it's going. I would tell you more, but Book 1 has to come out so you can read it and know what to expect in Book 2. It's nice being ahead of the game. If I have to do a major rewrite later, I will have a better foundation than if I were to start from scratch.

Third: It's finally the weekend. I don't know about you, but I loved being able to sleep in this morning, and not worry about having to pack a lunch, wake my kids up for school, constantly get after them to get ready, and leave before the sun comes up. It was a nice easygoing morning.

Best of all: I have an amazing family and friends who are always there when I need them. Sometimes it's just to talk even though we had planned our phone call to brainstorm about a book. haha. Sometimes it's to lift each other and most of all, be there through every good and bad moment in our lives. I am so happy to have the support system I have. You are part of that support system and I am so very thankful for you.
